Nearly There…

Nearly there, on a couple counts.  I’m a couple weeks from returning home from Afghanistan (third tour) and a few chapters from finishing the second volume of the Chronicles of Aertu.  I just posted Chapters 27-29 tonight.

Time has flown by, as I write this story.  I can’t complain too much about time passing quickly, on a deployment, really.  Unfortunately, I’m also feeling the crunch to finish this volume.  Family time is the most important thing, so if I don’t finish before I go back, there will be a delay in publication.  On the other hand, I won’t rush the ending, so what will be, will be.  I will attend an Army school, required for me to progress to the next rank, in September.  That will afford me down time to finish the story, if I don’t succeed in doing so in the next two weeks, or to begin the next volume.

Overall, I hope you are enjoying Sign of the White Raven.  I may not be the best writer out there.  In fact, I’m quite positive I am not even close, but I put my heart and soul into these stories and the characters are like a second family to me.

To all, good night and may the Allfather bless your days.

  1. I have continued to enjoy each chapter and I hope that you get to write it exactly as you envision it to be. I wish you well on your return trip home and good luck with school and the potential promotion to follow. I like to say ” It will work out either way” in most of life and to you I now say the same, the story will be best told when you are ready to do so and I do believe that in its own time it will be exactly the way it is supposed to be. I enjoy your writing and believe there is no need to say more on that. I do hope to get the book as soon as it is available to read again in its final form. Good luck to you and yours. Tom Millard

    1. Tom,
Thanks for the support. I truly am glad that you are enjoying the story. I’m having a great time writing it and I definitely don’t intend to rush it. Hope you have a great day.
