MS Word Templates for Publishing Print Books on Amazon

One of the challenges to self-publishing is formatting your manuscript for uploading to the publishing platform.

I spent many an hour in the early days of my independent publishing journey developing these templates to seamlessly upload my manuscripts to Amazon Print Services, the most common outlet for self and independent publishers.

My completed templates are for the 6″ x 9″ trade paperback and hardcover formats. I am working on a template for 4.25″ x 6.87″ mass market paperback and will make it available in the next few weeks. In the near future, I will develop templates for B&N Nook and IngramSpark as well.

I used to have a template for Kindle e-books, but the Kindle Create app made that obsolete. It was simpler when we could upload a formatted PDF. Now, you have to wrestle with formatting in the app, so you may as well upload a raw text file.
